Collaboration is a big thing in any work environment
Yes, there are the lone wolfs out there who need no ones help… but really, that’s a fantasy. At some point you will need someones help and if the project large enough you may even collaborate with another person.

Here are 4 ways to have a good collaboration
- Be sure they have time
- It’s never a good thing when one of you are rushed because your plate is too full
- Do not pressure them
- Similar to the above issue, don’t pressure anyone into helping because they will be a slacker or even down right antagonistic
- Be on the same page
- Let them know this is a ten minute thing or a week or even a long term project
- Treat it with respect
- This is a business dealing, just because it is a CoWorker does not mean you can cancel things willy nilly or just throw new projects on their desk.
